In the events of the movie short, Gift of the Night Fury, Barf and Belch leaves mysteriously like all the other dragons on Berk during Snoggletog. Hiccup later ends up hitching a ride on Meatlug, who journeys to someplace unknown where the other dragons disappeared. They arrive at The Berkery, an island filled with dragons and their newly hatched offspring. He finds Barf and Belch, and eventually he and all the dragons and their offspring arrive back at Berk. One of these babies is the individual known in the game, Dragons: Rise of Berk, as "Barf and Belch's Offspring."
