Armorwing Island is an island first introduced in School of Dragons at the release of the "Battle for the Edge" Expansion in December 2015. It was followed quickly by Dragons: Rise of Berk in January 2016.

Official Description[]

Aptly named for its primary inhabitants, Armorwing Island is an oasis of discarded metals. Vikings can find anything from swords to helmets here. IF they're willing to go up against an Armorwing for it.
  Dragons: Rise of Berk

Geography[]

Armorwing Island, much like Iron Isle, is covered with plenty of metal, supposedly discarded by men. This makes the island incredibly attractive to the metal-hoarding Armorwing, as they are able to use it for their self-welded back armour.

Armorwing Island in School of Dragons is similar to the island in Dragons: Race to the Edge. It appears as a rather desolate island with odd comb-like rock formations and a large geyser. Instead of discarded metal however, in School of Dragons the island is rich in metallic minerals that give the Armorwing its magnetic skin ability.

School of Dragons[]

Armorwing Island is one of several new islands that appeared in game at the release of the "Battle for the Edge" Expansion. The player must go there to complete several quests, including helping out a sick Armorwing that lives there by finding different types of metal.

Armorwing Island also features in the School of Dragons expansion "Wrath of Stormheart". Nikora Stormheart's soldiers attack the island as a diversion while she takes over Auction Island.
