It's been a while since I've been here but I just made a little tribute edit to the trilogy with forbidden friendship and thought I might share here :) Hope you guys enjoy!
I think I would've preferred this premise a lot more as a big budget film with similar animation and closer ties to the original creators. That being said, as of this moment I'm not 100% sure how involved they are, but I'm guessing its not the most. I think that would allow the drastic change of plot to feel more natural, however I haven't seen the show yet so I'll withhold judgment on it in its entirety for now.
I really wish they just stopped with The Hidden World, but I guess if this brings a newer generation to the original films I guess that would be okay with me... Will watch it, but I'll probably treat it with the same middling indifference as I do towards Rescue Riders if I'm going to be honest.
Thank you!

Cool! Mine Feb 20th.
I just saw this! Hopefully this sets the tone for the rest of awards season, it might even finally win an oscar!
Sherece! That got me laughing
^^^^^ Craig's son, according to Google, is 8 (being born in 2011) so this could very well be the voice actor.
I just finished watching it (and I'm also guilty of doing so probably not legally, but I assure you, when it's available I will buy) and I got to say I loved it. I found that the inconsistency really wasn't that major, and that it tied in quite nicely to the end of the third film. Could it be that the Viking Christmas/Snoggletog tradition could be that every year the dragons could act as a Santa-clause-esque figure for Berk, and come yearly (albeit, secretly)? Because I'm personally fine with that. For me it was as perfect as I could have possibly asked for and somehow provided even better closure then the ending for the third film, and I can't wait to re-watch when it's available for purchase digitally.
^^ ^ Thank you!
^Craig Ferguson has a son called Liam and he's around 8. I think it's likely that it's him.
For other fans in Australia or perhaps even New Zealand, where can we find Homecoming? It had been stated that it'd be on Fox outside of the US but I'm not really sure if it was, as I can't seem to find it anywhere. If anyone knows about this can they please help! I'm dying to see the short, and I'm unsure if I'll be able too. Thanks!
Edit: I now realise that instead of just making a post I should have just replied to the other one about it being on Fox. Sorry about that!
^That's a bit of an overstatement, don't you think? The franchise can't be ruined by one inconsistency in a Christmas short...
Certainly not my favourite, but I do love Zack Pearlman's Snotlout from the series. I personally thought he did a much better job than Jonah Hill, although that could've just been due to the lack of material Hill had to work with...
Ruffnut and Tuffnut in the show are truly my everything
Awwwww!
OMGGGGGGGGG I think this will be before the epilogue, but I don't think they'll actually interact with one another. Who knows, either way I'm EXITED!!! I won't judge it till it comes out but still, EXITED AS HELL!!!!
^Perfect way to describe the show!!
I thought that too, until I watched the series. It was actually not too bad, yes the animation is noticeably different to what we're use to and some of the voice acting is a bit off, but overall its rather enjoyable. It certainly more "child friendly" in a sense that there's no real "threat" but still, it's enjoyable enough.
