How to Train Your Dragon Wiki

Dreamworks Dragon: Training Legends was an online video game available on the Cartoon Network website. The game consisted of four minigames, each focused on an individual dragon species and with its own unique gameplay. These minigames were originally part of the game Dragon Training Academy that came as a bonus to the Gift of the Night Fury and Book of Dragons special combo DVD.

Legend of the Night Fury[]

In this minigame, the player controls a Night Fury, moving it around with the computer mouse and using a left mouse click to shoot a fireball and using a held-down left mouse click to activate a sonic blast. The goal of the game is to help the Night Fury rescue Berk's Vikings and sheep from a flock of attacking wild dragons, shooting fire at them to knock the Vikings or sheep from their grasp. Once per level, the player can hold down a left mouse click to active a sonic blast, enabling the Night Fury to quickly blast all dragons on the screen. If an attacking dragon picks up a Viking or sheep, the player has to shoot the dragon with a fireball to chase it off and rush to catch the Viking or sheep before they fall to the ground. The player has to defeat enough enemies to proceed to the next level. Both shooting a dragon and rescuing Vikings and sheep increase the player's score, while allowing dragons to carry away Vikings or sheep or letting them drop to the ground decreases the player's score. The player is only allowed to let the dragons carry away a certain amount of Vikings or sheep. If they lose any more than the limit, they will be unable to proceed to the next level.

Legend of the Scauldron[]

In this minigame, the player controls a Scauldron, moving it around with the computer mouse. The goal of the game is to help the Scauldron consume as many fish as possible, while avoiding the trash thrown into the ocean by a nearby Viking. The player has to eat a certain amount of fish to complete the level and move on to the next one. Eating enough fish will enable the Scauldron to shoot the bottom of the Viking's longship with a blast of water and knock the Viking out of the boat temporarily. Two varieties of jellyfish also appear, with the Multiplier jellyfish doubling the player's score for a period of time and the SlowMo jellyfish slowing down time for a brief period, enabling the player to eat faster-moving fish and avoid Viking trash quicker. Pufferfish also appear in the game, with the Scauldron only being able to eat them while they are un-puffed. Eating a puffed-up pufferfish will cause the player to lose fifty points from their score.

Legend of the Gronckle[]

In this minigame, the player controls a Gronckle, moving it around with the arrow keys. The goal of the game is to help the Gronckle complete an obstacle course and roll to a door before it closes, without falling off the edges of several holes in the course. Certain holes in the course contain spikes which, when rolled over while raised, will briefly stun the Gronckle and slow it down. Collecting golden clocks decreases the time it takes to complete the course.

Legend of the Nadder[]

In this minigame, the player controls a Deadly Nadder, moving it around with the arrow keys, using the "Z" key to jump, and using the "X" key to shoot a fireball. The goal of the game is to help the Nadder complete an obstacle course as fast as possible by running towards the finish line, either dodging or burning obstacles in its path. Levels consist of a Berk farm, a snowy area, and a volcanic area. Running through grain in the farm levels will slow the Nadder down. Collecting golden clocks decreases the time it takes to complete the course.
